Rabu kemarin kita menghadiri meriahnya acara peluncuran varian baru Snowcake,
SSC Hitam & Putih.
Snowcake
ini adalah cake dengan 3 lapisan, lapisan terluar pastry dengan taburan gula
halus yang mirip salju, di tengahnya ada cake empuk dengan filling yang creamy
dan crunchy, sedangkan di bawahnya ada pastry lagi.

Yesterday
we were attending a launching event for Surabaya Snowcake new variants, which
is SSC black & white.
Surabaya Snowcake is a combination of pastry and cake, with soft and crunchy filling. the outer most pastry are sprinkled with icing sugar, making it look snowy.

Tiap tamu diminta untuk memakai pakaian dengan
dresscode putih atau hitam, sesuai pilihan tim SSC hitam / SSC putih.
On
this event there's a dress-code which attendants have to choose, weather you go
with SSC white or SSC black.

Snowcake terbaru, berikut dua varian Snowcake yang sudah lama dikenal oleh
penggemar di Surabaya.

Sebelum big
reveal, para undangan diminta untuk memakai penutup mata dahulu. Model begini
bikin tambah penasaran saja, sempat berpikir kalau varian barunya bakal
aneh-aneh seperti memakai arang (seperti roti tawar hitam) untuk yang cake
hitam :D

Before the big reveal of the latest snowcake, attendants
were asked to don a blindfold. This makes us even more curious about the latest
snowcake.
Some muttered that the black cake might be made with charcoal, which have actually been used to make bread loafs.

Seperti bisa dilihat di video
di atas, inilah salah satu varian snowcake baru, SSC White.
Walau tampaknya masih mirip dengan yang vanilla snowcake, tapi citarasanya sudah jauh berbeda, rasa cakenya sedikit lebih mantap, ada miripnya dengan vicake (Vidi Vini Vici), dengan rasa keju yang kuat.

As you can also see in this video, this is the big reveal,
SSC White.
Though it might look similar to the classic snowcake, taste-wise there's plenty of stark differences. For start, there's a heavier cake used, which kinda reminds me of Vicake from Vidi Vini Vici. This White SSC is much heavier on the cheese though.

belum tahu harga untuk varian baru snowcakenya, begitu sudah mendapatkan info
dari tim Snowcake akan saya update di blog ini
Peluncuran
umum cake ini akan dilakukan tanggal 6 Oktober di cabang-cabang Surabaya
Snowcake.

of writing, I still haven't got a clue on the retail price of this cakes, so
