Pisa Cafe

Kafe Pisa ada dua cabang di Surabaya, satu di daerah Surabaya Timur dan satunya di Surabaya Barat. saya sendiri lebih sering ke cabang Timur karena dekat dengan tempat tinggal saya. Tidak jauh dari tempat ini juga ada beberapa kafe dan tempat makan menarik lainnya, menjajakan seafood (Layar, Nusantara, Stingray), makanan Jepang (Sushi Hana), Indonesia (Prima Rasa, Home cooking) dan lain sebagainya.

Pisa Cafe is a famous western eatery in Surabaya. It open two branches in Surabaya, one in the Eastern part and the other in the Western Surabaya. I frequent the one in Manyar because it's closer to where I live. There's a lot of restaurant nearby, some serves seafood (Layar, Nusantara, Stingray), Japanese food (Sushi Hana), Indonesian Food (Prima Rasa, Home Cooking) and many more.

 Setiap ulang tahun pembukaan kafe, mereka memberikan diskon 50% untuk pembelian makanan, minuman dan Gelato-nya. Biasanya sangat ramai sekali dan saya tidak terlalu minat untuk berdesak-desakan antri apalagi makan di sana, jadi saya hanya memesan Gelato untuk dibawa pulang, sekaligus hadiah ultah untuk nenek sahabat saya.
Rasa Gelatonya (menurut selera saya) di atas gerai eskrim yang populer seperti Baskin Robin atau New Zealand's ice cream.




On Their anniversary, they usually offers 50% discount on all item, on other occasion, they have 30% discount using certain credit cards. I'm not really keen on eating in a crowded place, and because I went there at about 3pm, it's very packed, and the wait to order any kind of food was to long for me. So I ended up ordering some Gelatos for take away. Their Gelato is quite nice, you should consider giving it a try. For my taste bud it's better than the other popular ice cream chain you'd find on the malls.

 

Pilihan rasanya enak semua, yang sedikit aneh bagi saya hanya rasa Durian, karena terlalu mengingatkan saya pada es puter dibandingkan ice cream. Per kemasan ini di discount menjadi sekitar Rp 30.000,- saat perayaan ultah Pisa.
Rasa favorit saya sendiri adalah Yoghurt, Pistachio dan Green Tea.

There's more than 30 varieties of flavor on that day, and I ended up ordering 11 of them, few are for a dear friend's grandma birthday. I particularly like the Yoghurt, Pistachio and Green Tea. While the Durian reminds me too much of es Puter (traditional Indonesian ice cream).

Untuk Pizza nya, favorit saya adalah Pizza Volcano, beda dengan kebanyakan pizza yang dibuat dengan sisi atasnya penuh toping, di sini topingnya ditutup lagi, ala Calzone pizza.

My favourite Pizza here is the volcano Pizza, it's fashioned like Calzone pizza, but bigger in size. twice the calzone, which are folded.

Quattro Formaggi

Kalau Volcano adalah favorit saya, berikut yang kurang cocok untuk selera saya, Pizza Quattro Formaggi alias empat jenis keju. 
Hasilnya? eneg...
Sebetulnya meni ini tidak ada di menu, tapi berdasar rekomendasi dari teman yang suka masak, saat dia keranjingan blue cheese. Salah pula rekomnya, seharusnya yang enak dan menggunakan blue cheese di sini adalah pizza 'Valentino'. 
Mungkin di sebagian tempat, jenis pizza Quattro Formagginya enak, terutama kalau jenis kejunya lumayan berbeda seperti brie, blue cheese dsb. 
Sayangnya yang di sini hanya terasa mozzarella dan cheddar saja


Not all of their pizza is great, there's another one, not listed on the menu (for a good reason) the Quattro Formaggi  Pizza, which taste quite bland, can't taste other cheese other than mozzarella and cheddar.

Saat tulisan dibuat, beberapa bank yang memberikan promo adalah Standard Chartered 30%, BTN 30% saat weekday, 50% saat hari Minggu (food only)

They offer credit card discount using Standard Chartered and BTN (30%) and on Sunday BTN have 50% discount, for food only.
