Dapur Cokelat adalah salah satu tempat yang populer untuk mencari coklat dan cake. Kalau biasanya tempat serupa mengutamakan bakery / cake sebagai produk unggulannya, di sini pendekatannya berbeda, yang dijadikan magnet utama adalah coklat, yang dibentuk menjadi berbagai macam model dan rasa.

Literally translated as Chocolate Kitchen, this place is just like what it's namesake, a place for chocolates, confectioneries and cakery. Usually a similar place emphasis on the cake / bakery rather than chocolate, here they do things differently and put chocolate of all shapes and taste as their selling point.

Dahulu pada akhir 2010 saya mencoba kedai kopinya, lokasinya persis di sebelah area toko utamanya. Kopi yang saya pesan rasanya lumayan parah, jadi saya tidak pernah kembali lagi.

Back in late 2010 I tried this coffee shop, it's located next to the main store area. The coffee I ordered tasted as refined as dishwasher water, never returned since.

Dapur Cokelat juga seringkali mengikuti trend cake yang sedang digandrungi, tempo hari saya lihat velvet cake, dan sekarang ada rainbow cake di display mereka.

They also keep up with new trends on cake, few while ago I saw a velvet cake, and now, this rainbow cake sitting on their display.

Walau rainbow cake sudah cukup lama ada, bulan Oktober lalu adalah saat pertama kali saya mencicipinya, itupun karena disuguhi saat ulang tahun teman hehehe.

Sempat sedikit parno dengan banyaknya pewarna yang dipakai, walaupun foodgrade semua, tetap saja agak geli makan pigmen begitu banyak :D

Though Rainbow Cake have been here for a quite some while, last month was the first time I tasted this kind of cake, and it was only because it was served in a birthday party.
Was a bit hestitant to try it before, due to the amount of food coloring they used to make this cake. I konw it's food grade coloring, but still, makes me queasy to think about eating all those pigment :D

Selalu ada pajangan besar berbahan coklat di tengah tokonya, menambah daya tarik untuk mengunjungi tempat ini. Takjub juga bisa tidak rubuh atau rusak diserbu anak-anak kecil yang terlampau girang melihatnya.

There's always a big exhibit on the center of the shop, an attraction that will surely keep me coming back. It's a wonder that I never heard the exhibit getting knocked off or something by an overly excited kids that sees it ^^

Display coklatnya cukup menarik, ada bermacam jenis coklat yang disajikan, biasanya dihargai berdasarkan beratnya, setelah memilih nanti akan ditimbang dan diinfokan.

The chocolate on display is quite attractive, they serves so many type and shape of chocolate. It's usually price by the weight, a few thousand rupiah for a hundred gram. After you select it you can get it weighed.

There's also a few funny shapes of chocolate that is suitable for kids party or those baby shower occasion. It's very cute and surely would make as a good gift or souvenirs, if they don't prone to melt. kudos to the chocolatiers at Dapur Cokelat.
