Moi Garden ini adalah resto yang menjual menu makanan Cina dengan rasa yang lumayan ok

Lokasinya di jalan Manyar Kertoarjo, di dekat pasar swalayan bonet dan boncafe.

Suasananya cukup ok, tempatnya bagus dan tidak kotor, tapi karena lokasinya di Ruko,jadi tempat parkirnya amat terbatas, terlebih lagi tempat ini bersebelahan dengan Ikan Bakar Cianjur yang juga sama-sama populer.
Jadinya sering kali bakal kesulitan menemukan tempat parkir. Saat itu kita kita berjalan cukup jauh dari tempat parkir ke sini, jadi tidak dianjurkan untuk para cewe pake high heels saat ke sini ^^

Moi Garden is a Chinese Restaurant that sells a homecooking style foods, which tastes quite ok.

It's located near Boncafe and Bonet market, in East Surabaya, Manyar Kertoarjo street.

The ambiance is quite nice, though a bit small, since it's located in home-office style building. The parking lot is equally small and limited, and the fact that's it's located next to an equally popular eatery, Ikan Bakar Cianjur, you would usually have to put up with a big crowd and the lack of parking spot can be sometime frustrating.

Mie Goreng - Moi Garden (Zeiss 50mm)

Mie Gorengnya menurut teman yang sudah lama langganan di sini, adalah salah satu menu andalannya. Menurut saya sih biasa saja, tidak ada yang spesial. Lebih tertarik dengan dua menu lainnya malah.

This fried noodles, are one of their top dish, according to my friend who frequents this restaurant. Well for my taste it just taste like plain old fried noodles that you can get everywhere. I'm more interested in the other two menus below

Fried Noodle - Moi garden (Sigma 15mm Fisheyes)

Kebetulan saat mie gorengnya datang, saya sempat ganti lensa dari 15mm ke 50mm, saat ganti obyek dari foto interior ke makanan. Walau lensa zeiss 50mm jelas lebih ok untuk obyek fotonya, tapi sigma 15mm dengan jarak focus super dekatnya juga cukup mumpuni untuk food photography, hanya saja di full frame distorsinya besar. Waktu masih pakai 600D dan belum punya lensa zeiss, lensa 15mm ini salah satu lensa favorit saya untuk memfoto makanan. Malah lebih sering dipakai dibandingkan canon 100mm macro L.


I was still using the 15mm when the fried noodle came, hence I took this photo just for the sake of comparison. No question about it, the zeiss 50mm makro did a better job, but I just want to show that the Sigma 15mm Fish eyes with it's very close focus is also capable for food photography. Though it's very distorted in full frame body. Back when I'm still using 600D, this Sigma took more food photos than my Canon 100mm macro L.

Gurami Asam Manis - Moi Garden

Gurami asam manisnya cukup enak, rasanya manisnya cukup pas, tidak over seperti sebagian resto yang kadang seperti menggunakan selai untuk bumbu.







The Sweet & Sour Gurami is nice, it's not overly sweet like some other restaurants which sometime taste like they're using jam as condiment.
