Corn Dog alias sosis berbalut tepung yang digoreng bukan hidangan baru di Surabaya. Dahulu ada "Hot Dog on a Stick"  kalau tidak salah, lokasinya dibuka di Galaxy Mall, sudah cukup lama tutup. Seingat saya sebelum tahun 2005 bukanya.
Setelah itu tidak ada penggantinya lagi hingga cukup lama, hingga tahun ini ada penjaja Corn Dog baru, Genoise.

Genoise ini sendiri sebelumnya adalah penyedia wedding cake dan bakery yang cukup tersohor di jalan Welirang (dekat Tidar).


Corn Dog is a sausage wrapped in batter and than deep fried. 
A thorough description on Wikipedia : 

"A corn dog is a hot dog sausage coated in a thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep fried in oil, although some are baked. Almost all corn dogs are served on a wooden stick, though some early versions had no stick. "

In Surabaya there were other corn dog proprietor back before 2005, also in Galaxy Mall Surabaya, named "Hot Dog On a Stick" if I'm not mistaken.
After that stall closed, this food was missing from Surabaya food scene for a while, until Genoise brought this up in 2012.

Genoise itself was originally a wonderful bakery that makes beautiful wedding cakes.

Genoise Corn Dog - Ciputra World

 Ada dua cabangnya yang saya tahu dan pernah coba, satu di Ciputra World, lokasinya di lantai UG, satu lokasi dengan hypermarket dan bersebelahan dengan peco-peco Sushi yang fotonya di bawah ini.

There's two location that I know and have tried, one is in Ciputra World, basement floor. On the same floor with Hypermarket and next to Peco-Peco Sushi stall which is photographed bellow.

Lokasi lainnya ada di Galaxy Mall, yang dekat dengan lokasi saya tinggal. Tempatnya di Techno Zone, yang sebetulnya cukup aneh, stand makanan lokasinya di tengah-tengah lokasi penjual handphone dan komputer.

The other one is in Galaxy Mall, near where I live. It's placed in Techno Zone , which is a strange place to have a food stall, fried goods, drinks and pizza next to shop selling phones and computer goods.

 Selain Corn Dog saja, ada pilihan paket dengan kentang goreng, cukup menambah Rp 3.000

Walaupun Corn Dog biasanya isinya hot dog, di sini ada pilihan lain selain hot dog, yaitu keju. 
Untuk yang gemar keju, bakal suka dengan hidangan satu ini, tapi saya sendiri jauh lebih suka yang isi sosis / hot dog dibandingkan yang isi keju.


Though corn dog usually filled with hot dog, here you can get a different filling, cheese. If you are a cheese aficionado, you'll like this. For me, I prefer food that's less rich tasting, so I prefer the regular one with hot dog.
