Supposed to be #2 in Legian, not impressed though..

Resto / Warung satu ini di Tripadvisor biasanya antara masuk no1 atau no2 resto terbaik di Legian, saat ini masuk no2, waktu saya ke sana akhir tahun lalu, malah no 1. Nah berhubung Tripadvisor biasanya cukup jitu untuk rekomendasi makanannya, maka sayapun mencoba bersusah payah mencari resto satu ini.

This restaurant is ranked as no 1 or 2 in the Tripadvisor list of best restaurant in Legian. It's now ranked #2, while when I visited here, it was no 1.

Since I usually have a good experience trying what is recomended on Tripadvisor, I decided to go and try this establishment.

Walaupun sudah mengantongi alamat, tablet untuk navigasi google map dan no telepon restonya, tetap lumayan susah untuk mencari resto satu ini. Kita turun dari Taxi di daerah pusat kota Legian, dekat dengan hotel dan circle K. Dari sana perlu sekitar 10-15 menit berjalan kaki untuk mencari tempat resto ini, di Jalan Padma.

Though we came prepared with tablet to navigate on google map, telephone number and maps, it's still quite a challange to find the restaurant. We were dropped off from our taxi in the Legian city center, near a hotel and circle K. From there we need about 10-15 minutes walking on foot to find this place, which is located in Jl Padma.

King Prawn - Rp 120.000

King Prawn-nya cukup lezat, tampilannya juga menggoda, hanya saja untuk harganya sedikit mahal. Apalagi tempatnya model warung tanpa AC, walaupun bersih dan rapi, tetap saja tidak senyaman resto beneran. Untuk harganya, saya sempat berharap lebih mewah dan banyak side dishnya, ternyata ya sama saja dengan udang-udang di resto sejenis yang harganya hanya separuhnya.

The King Prawn is quite nice, so is the plating, though the price is highly overpriced, specially for the 'warung' or diner eatery. Though it's clean and tidy, it's still not as comfy as a genuine restaurant with AC and better seating. For the price, we were hoping to get something more, like a side salad, or more fries, turns out it's the same as other similar restaurant that only charge for half of this price.

Menu Iga Babi / Simply Grilled Pork Ribs ini adalah yang paling sering direkomendasikan di Tripadivsor, sayangnya kita tidak cocok dengan rasa masakan satu ini. Rasanya sedikit terlalu amis, sausnya hambar, cara masaknya cenderung bertujuan untuk menonjolkan rasa asli dagingnya, jadi kelezatannya amat tergantung dari mutu dan kesegaran daging.

This Simply Grilled Pork Ribs were recomended by the member of Tripadvisor, unfortunately it didn't suit our taste. The ribs taste overly gamey, the BBQ sauce is a bit bland, they tend to really preserve the natural taste of the pork, which would be great if the meat is high quality and fresh.
