Beatus adalah salah satu resto yang cukup tenar di Loop. Lokasi Loop sendiri ada di Surabaya Barat, satu kompleks dengan Graha Famili. Berhubung saya tidak terlalu sering ke Surabaya Barat, maka kesempatan kali ini langsung mencoba menu terkenal Beatus yang sering dianjurkan teman-teman.
Ada dua menu yang iconic di sini, Caramelized Crab dan BBQ Pork Ribs.


Beatus is one of the most popular restaurant in Loop.
Loop itself is an area around Graha Famili that's filled with eateries as tenants, it's located in western Surabaya area, near Pakuwon Trade Center.
The place is quite far from where I live and work, so on the first occasion coming here, I ordered one of it's most popular dish, Caramelized Crab. Aside from the crab, another popular dish is BBQ Pork Ribs.

Shrimp & Foie Gras

Menu Foie Gras ini sebetulnya tidak tersedia secara harian, anda perlu pesan beberapa hari terlebih dahulu. Ceritanya pesan ini karena saat sedang demam Foie Gras di Surabaya tempo hari, beberapa resto sempat mempromokan menu hati bebek nan mewah ini.

This Foie Gras dish is not available daily, you need to order it beforehand.
At that time, there were a craze of Foie Gras dishes, after a hotel eatery advertize foie gras for their grand opening promotion.

Beatus Caramelized Butter Crab

Di atas ini salah satu menu utama yang populer di Beatus, walau restorannya bertema western, tapi menunya sedikit bercitarasa lokal dengan menggunakan saos mentega + bawang merah, bawang putih + jeruk nipis.
Rasanya enak, chef di sini bisa menghadirkan cita rasa bumbu yang cukup enak, tapi tidak sampai menutupi kesegaran rasa kepitingnya.


This is their most popular menu here, the Caramelized Crab. Though serving western cuisine, I picked up a hint of Indonesian taste, where they blend butter sauce with shallots, garlic and lime. Taste delicious, the velvety sauce compliment the crab without overwhelming it's fresh taste.
