Cocoklah kalau Surabaya disebut kota maritim, dermaganya selalu ramai dan restoran seafood juga tidak mau kalah, bermunculan bak jamur di musim hujan.
Salah satu lokasi makan dengan populasi resto seafood terbanyak bisa ditemukan di jalan Manyar Kertoarjo, di sini ada resto Nusantara, Layar, Istana Berkat, Puang Oca, hingga yang paling baru, Terminal, ada lagi Sushi Hana kalau dimasukkan olahan Sushi + Sashimi dalam kriteria hidangan seafood.

Entah apa karena posisi daerah Manyar Kertoarjo yang dekat dengan pantai Kenjeran, di sini resto seafood tumbuh subur.

Surabaya is called a maritime city, which is fitting since apart from the busy ports, we got plenty of seafood restaurants.
You'll find the largest concentration of seafood eateries on the Manyar Kertoarjo street. There's plenty of them stacking side by side on this road, to name a few Nusantara, Layar,  Istana Berkat, Puang Oca, and the latest addition, Terminal. If you count sushi and sashimi, there's also the Sushi Hana restaurant.

This particular restaurant is named Pantai, which translates as beach. Don't expect to see any beache though, the closest beach is half an hour drive away in Kenjeran.

Snacks - corn, peanuts and radish pickle / Jagung, kacang dan acar lobak

Untuk teman menunggu, disediakan jagung, kacang goreng dan acar lobak. Cukup menarik dibandingkan resto lain yang biasanya hanya menyediakan acar timun. Layanan tambahan yang sepele tapi lumayan menambah kenikmatan makan.

While waiting for the food to arrive, we get three kinds of snack, which consists of corn, peanut and radish pickle. In other similar restaurants we usually just get a pickled cucumber / Acar. While simple, this small service is a nice addition to the culinary experience.

Rasa makanan di sini lumayan enak, bila dibandingkan dengan resto di sekelilingnya, harganya termasuk paling bersaing, kalau memakai discount kartu kredit. 

Kalau dibandingkan dengan beberapa Resto seafood di Manyar Kertoarjo, rasanya termasuk tidak terlalu istimewa, tapi valuenya termasuk terbaik, mengingat kualitas yang dipakai juga cukup baik.

The Seafood here tastes nice, and in comparison with the eateries nearby in the same street, it's price is amongst the most competitive, when you add in the credit card discounts.

Tastewise there are some other seafood restaurant with distinctive and better taste, but value-wise I'd count Pantai as one of the best, considering the freshness and quality of the seafood is quite good.

Menjelang malam, ada menu khusus bubur ayam, kalau tidak salah tersdia mulai pk 21.00

Di sini ada beberapa kartu kredit yang menyediakan promo discount, sekitar 20%. Kalau tidak salah dari Standard Chartered, Bukopin dan dua lain. Sayangnya saya tidak hafal karena dua kali ke sini ditraktir teman, jadi tidak perhatian dengan metode pembayarannya.

For the night prowler, this place provides Chicken porridge that's available from 21.00 until closing time.
There are some credit card promotions, with 20% discounts. One of the card provider I recalled is Standard Chartered, Bukopin and also two other banks. Too bad on the two times I've been here was treated by friends, so I didn't pay attention on the payment methods.
