Kalau ada rencana menginap di hostel dan sejenisnya, ada baiknya persiapkan peta terlebih dahulu. Jalan di sekitar kota Tokyo lumayan rumit dan penduduk setempat pun tidak selalu tahu tempat anda menginap. Bahkan satu malam saat hujan turun, kita sempat nyasar, dan saat bertanya ke penduduk setempat tidak ada yang tahu lokasi hostel (ada alamat). Hingga sampai ke kantor polisi pun juga kebingungan mencari lokasinya. Jadi sebaiknya membawa peta yang disediakan.

Be sure to prepare a map of the place, since roads around Tokyo are quite complicated and not everyone would know where your hostel are. We even got lost one evening with rain pouring down, trying to find the hostel. We didn't quite get a good direction of the hostel, not even from the police office. Probably due the fact that the place being not very popular with locals.

Hostel ini terdiri dari 5 lantai, jadi lebih baik persiapkan diri dulu kalau membawa koper besar (seperti saya), supaya bisa dapat lantai yang rendah. Saya sendiri kebetulan bawa koper besar dan mendapat kamar di lantai 5, jadi cukup payah membawanya.
Di lantai dasar ada tempat penitipan untuk koper yang besar, tapi tetap kurang nyaman karena harus naik turun untuk mengambil barang, dan tempatnya relatif kecil.


This Hostel is 5 story high, so be sure to check if you're bringing many big luggage (like I did) if you can get a lower level room. There's a place in ground level where you can put luggages that are way to big to be carried, but that's a bit inconvenient.

Asahi Beer from Vending Machine

Di dalam Khaosan Ninja sendiri ada disediakan vending machine yang manyajikan minuman soft drink dan bir merk Asahi. 

In Khaosan Ninja Hostel they also provide a vending machine selling soft drinks and Asahi beer. It's quite convenient to have a vending machine in the hostel, though you don't need to worry about getting late night snack or beverage, since there's abundant of 24 hour minimarket around the hostel area.

Coffee, Tea, Sugar & Cream - Complimentary of the Hostel

French Press & Ground Coffee - Khaosan Ninja Hostel

Satu set komplit gula, creamer dan kopi bubuk, fasilitas gratisan yang menarik, biasa didapat di hostel Jepang. Terdapat banyak alat pembuat kopi yang bisa digunakan, dari mesin drip coffee seperti yang populer di resto diner (hasil kopinya sih parah), coffee filter dan french press. Hal ini menunjukkan betapa senangnya orang Jepang akan kopi.

A complete set of sugar, creamer and ground coffee, nice freebies you'd usually get from a Japanese Hostel. There's also an assortment of coffee making tools, which consists of drip coffee machine, French Press and coffee filter. This tells a lot about Japanese affection for coffee.
