Berhubung sorenya sudah menikmati sajian teh dan snack di Hotel Tugu, malam harinya diputuskan untuk mencoba hidangan room service yang relatif ringan, pilihan jatuh pada nasi Pecel dan Angsle.


Since we already had a wonderful afternoon tea, complimentary of our stay in Hotel Tugu, we decided to just spend the evening inside our cozy hotel room, so we decided to order simple room service menus of Nasi Pecel (Rice, Tempeh and Vegetable with peanut dressing) and Angsle for dessert

Angsle (wedhang angsle): a hot soupy dessert of sago pearls, pre-cooked glutinous rice and mung beans, putu mayang (brightly colored, noodle-shaped flour cakes), fried peanuts all drowned in hot, sweet coconut milk.

Makan pagi yang disediakan di sini cukup unik untuk standard hotel bintang lima. Biasanya semua menu disajikan dalam bentuk buffet dan kita tinggal memilih hidangan yang disukai. Di sini diberikan pilihan dalam bentuk buffet yang relatif sederhana, terdiri dari pecel, nasi campur, jajan pasar, soto dan roti. Untuk tambahan diberikan pilihan ala carte menu yang termasuk dalam paket breakfast.


Breakfast here isn't your regular five star hotel fare, where you get a complete breakfast options on the buffet table. Here they have a simple selections of Indonesian breakfast such as pecel, nasi campur, soto and sweet dessert along with continental option such as bread, jam and egg. To accompany the simple spread they also serves Ala Carte menu which you can choose, it's included in the breakfast package.

 Dari pilihan buffetnya saya menyukai bubur sumsum dan cendilnya ini. Kalau biasanya idangan manis ini bisa didapat di pasar dan sejenisnya dengan rasa yang ala kadar, di sini dibuat dengan bahan berkualitas sehingga rasanya cukup halus dibandingkan hidangan sejenis pada umumnya.

I particularly like their sweet Indonesian dessert which consists of bubur sumsum, cendol and cendil, it's a simple dish made with finesse and refinement.
