Depot Cak win ini letaknya di gang gubeng kertajaya, yang paling ujung, berdekatan dengan belokan ke jalan Menur. Lokasi jalannya sedikit sempit, jadi perlu sedikit berhati-hati.

Walaupun lokasinya demikian, depot satu ini cukup tersohor, tidak hanya di kalangan mahasiswa Unair / ITS yang berdekatan dengan lokasinya, yang dari ujung Surabaya, di UK Petra pun banyak yang tahu dengan depot satu ini.

Depot Cak Win is a simple eatery located in eastern part of Surabaya city. It's quite secluded, located in a narrow alleyway near Airlangga University. Despite that, it's quite popular, especially amongst college students.

Salah satu daya tarik di resto ini adalah porsinya yang raksasa, untuk makan ber empat cukup pesan dua menu saja, dan harganya pun terjangkau.

Karena dua hal di atas tempat ini populer di kalangan mahasiswa.

Urusan rasa pun termasuk cukup lumayan, tentunya tidak seenak Chinese Restaurant yang premium, tapi masih cukup ok, terutama untuk yang kangen dengan gaya masak jadul.

One of the feat that this eatery have is their big portions, with affordable pricing. You only need to order two dishes to feed four people, and the dishes costs quite cheap, just around $15-$25.

That makes them very popular amongst students, with big appetite and limited allowance. Tastewise it's also nice, though not as refined as your typical upscale Chinese restaurant, it's still tasty.

Tempatnya tidak besar, tapi cukup lega untuk ukuran depot, ada pilihan window seat juga, menghadap ke jalan :D

It's quite small, but not cramped for it's type of eatery. With a very simple canteen style tables and plastic chairs.

Pada kesempatan siang ini kita datang bertiga, dan memesan dua porsi makanan, satu Mie Goreng Cap Cay, dan Ayam Goreng Tepung.

For this lunch, the three of us ordered the Chop Suey Fried Noodles and the Breaded Chicken with Sweet & Sour sauce.

Ayam Goreng mentega ini salah satu menu simple tapi mengigit, ayam goreng dibalur tepung dan diberi saus berdasar pilihan kita, ayam goreng dengan Kecap, saus Pedas, Mentega atau saus Koloke (di menu disebut ayam goreng tepung)

Di foto pertama, ada dua saus, ceritanya pesanan kita seharusnya Ayam Goreng Mentega, tapi yang datang kebetulan saus Ayam Goreng Tepung. Asyiknya malah diberi tambahan saus mentega, sedangkan saus koloke nya tidak diambil. Jadilah akhirnya kita makan dengan dua pilihan saus.

I like their breaded chicken, it's simple though tasty. There's a selection of breaded chicken with sauce that you can pick, either the Soy Sauce, Spicy, Butter or sweet and sour sauce.

We get to try two sauce, since they got mixed up at first and bring us the sweet and sour one instead of the butter sauce that we ordered. Both tastes nice, but for me, I'd prefer the less greasy sweet & sour sauce.
