Kwetiau Medan termasuk populer di Surabaya, yang paling populer saat ini masih Kwetiau Apeng yang terletak di daerah Kedungdoro, tapi semakin banyak resto serupa di seaentaro Surabaya, dan masing-masing memiliki penggemarnya sendiri.

Medanese Hor Fun is quite a popular cuisine in Surabaya, with the most popular being Kwetiau Apeng which is located in Kedungdoro. Other restaurants serving same dishes have sprung open lately and each have their own following.

Kwetiau Siram - Rp 24.000

Rasa kwetiaunya cukup enak, tidak terlalu tajam, untuk yang suka dengan tipikal rasa demikian bakal cocok. Untuk saya sendiri lebih suka dengan rasa yang tajam, khas orang Surabaya ^^, jadi saya tidak terlalu nge-fans dengan depot satu ini. Kalau menuruti selera pribadi, daerah berdekatan dengan depot ini ada Kwetiau Golden Yen yang rasanya juga lezat.

Taste-wise it's quite ok, a bit on the bland side though, which is usually akin to genuine Medanese taste. I'm more of the spice lover though, that's why their dish isn't really one of my favorite.
Close-by my fave Horfun would be the Kwetiau Golden Yen which is equally good, but spicier.
