La Ricchi Ice Cream, tempat satu ini biasanya terkenal untuk ice cakenya. Sesudah beberapa kali mencicipi ice cake nya yang tersohor, yang datang dalam bentuk hantaran oleh-oleh, akhirnya kita berkesempatan mengunjungi markasnya di Jln Indragiri, courtesy dari ownernya, Robert.

La Ricchi Ice Cream parlor is one of the most famous ice cream cake maker in Surabaya. I've frequently tasted their ice cake, which usually comes as a gift in our house. This time we get to sample their creation in ala carte menu, on their cafe in Indragiri Street, courtesy of the propietor, Robert.

La Ricchi - Green Tea Ice Cream

Salah satu rasa es krim favorit saya adalah green tea, berhubung favorit, biasanya saya agak rewel tentang rasa teh hijau / green tea yang saya sukai. Kadang ada rasa green tea yang terasa terlalu kuat bau bahannya, jadi terasa sekali kalau artifisial. Di sini rasa Green Tea nya natural dan manisnya juga pas.

One of my favorite Ice Cream flavor is the Green Tea Ice Cream. Despite being my favorite, I find myself quite picky on the particular green tea flavor that I like. For example I like the Green Tea flavor in Baskin Robbin's but not so much on Hagen Dazz. While I find the La Ricchi's Green Tea to be quite nice. Their flavorings tastes natural, with a balance of sweet and fragrance, which is the way I liked it.

Di kafenya ada beberapa spot menarik yang bisa untuk dibuat foto, dan manajemen kafenya termasuk tidak rewel untuk urusan fotografi, tidak bakal ada yang menegur saat foto-foto, kecuali kalau sampai terlalu heboh dan mengganggu pengunjung lain :D

In their lovely little cafe, there are some photo taking spots that you shutterbugs can use. They have a relaxed attitude towards photographers, nobody would object when you do simple portrait here, except probably when it gets too loud and disturbing to other guest :D

Kita mencoba dua hidangannya saat berkunjung, Japadog dan Croque Madam. Untuk selera saya, lebih suka dengan Japadog-nya. Rasanya enak dengan saus yang gurih dan ada rasa krim dari mayonaisenya. Rasanya tidak terlalu eneg karena sausnya menggunakan citarasa masakan jepang. Ukuran porsinya juga cukup besar untuk snack.

We tried two of their main course, and I like their Japadog more than the Croque Madam. It tastes nice, with a juicy sausage with creamy & savory condiments. Portion-wise it's also quite filling, hence I use the term main course rather than snack, since the portion are quite generous for a mere snack.

Baked Smores, es krimnya bisa memilih rasa sendiri, saat itu saya kebetulan ingin mencoba green tea ice creamnya, jadinya hadirlah Baked Smores dengan Green Tea Ice Cream ini. Di bawah ice creamnya ada roti yang diberi topping marshmallow, jadi rasanya manis dan legit. Tampilan menunya menarik karena warna warni, dan cukup fun untuk dimakan karena marshmallow-nya akan lumer dan bisa ditarik seperti keju mozzarella di pizza. Sedikit terlalu manis untuk selera kita, tapi sepertinya cocok sekali untuk anak kecil yang biasanya lebih doyan manis.

This is their Baked Smore with Green Tea Ice Cream. 

We were at liberty to choose the ice cream flavor, and I must say, probably not the best suited flavor for this menu, since the Marshmallow are quite sweet, they kind of overpowering to the green tea ice cream flavor.

That being said, we did like it, but it's a bit too sweet for us adult. Probably would be best suited for childrens which usually have quite the appetite for sweets.

Favorit saya sendiri adalah menu dengan Rose Ice Cream ini. Untuk yang gemar hidangan penutup ala Turki, yang biasanya menggunakan rose water, akan suka sekali dengan ice cream flavor yang satu ini.

Untuk yang ingin nuansa timur tengah dan nuansa ramadhan bakal cocok menikmati rasa es krim ini saat berbuka puasa.

Turkish Dessert

From all the Ice Cream flavor that I tried that day, the Rose flavored Ice Cream is my favorite. If you're quite fond of turkish desserts, which are usually dipped in Rose Water, you'd love this Ice Cream flavor. I reminisce about my trip to turkey while eating it. Come to think about it, this would make a nice dessert for Ramadhan holy month.

Untuk harga dan kualitas yang didapat, tempat ini cukup menarik dan memberikan harga yang terjangkau. Cocok untuk penggemar es krim yang ingin rasa beragam tapi tetap terasa natural.

For the price offered, this place have the great value for money. Suitable for those who like to taste plenty of Ice Cream flavors, but still retaining a natural taste.
