Kunjungan kali ini ke satu lagi hidangan populer Surabaya, Kwetiau Medan, di daerah Manyar, terletak di dekat Kebun Bibit Surabaya.

This time we're visiting another eatery that sells the popular Medanese Horfun, located in Eastern Part of Surabaya.

Kwetiau Medan Asan - 

Lokasinya ada di ruko, bersebelahan dengan Mie Keriting Medan. Resto tetangganya juga tidak kalah enak menurut teman yang sering ke dua tempat makan ini.

It's located in a soho area, next to Medanese Noodle / Mie Keriting Medan. The neighboring eatery also serves nice noodles according to my friend who frequented the area.

Kwetiau Medan Asan 

Kwetiau Medan Asan - Nasi Goreng

Walau nama tempat makannya "Kwetiau Medan Asan" tapi hidangan Nasi Goreng nya tidak kalah enak. Teksturnya keset, rasa ok dan bisa dibandingkan nasi goreng resto Chinese Food yang lebih lux.

Even though the namesake is Horfun related, their Fried Rice is also nice. It got a firm texture, tastes nice, tastes just like what a bonafide Chinese restaurant would make.

Kwetiau Goreng

Kweitau Goreng nya cukup enak, termasuk favorit saya di daerah sini. Lebih enak dibanding hidangan resto serupa di area Mulyosari. Kwetiau goreng di sini tidak terlalu berat rasa telurnya, jadi lebih bisa saya nikmati. Hal ini amat tergantung selera tentunya, kalau teman saya malah suka dengan rasa telur yang pekat.

Their Fried Kwetiau is the best dish around, I like them more than the one in Mulyosari area, since it's doesn't have the heavy egg aftertaste. This would depends heavily on your palate though, some people would like that heaviness more.

Mie Goreng

Kali ini saya tidak sempat memfoto menu, dan kebetulan ditraktir teman karena acara ultahnya, jadi tidak memfoto bon pembayaran juga untuk dokumentasi. Kalau untuk harga per porsinya berkisar Rp 20.000-35.000. Untuk harganya, rasa masakan di sini cukup ok, layak untuk dicoba.

This time I didn't remember to take any photo of their menu, and this time we were celebrating a friend's birthday, so it'll be awkward to borrow the bill for documentation.

Prices here varies from Rp 20.000- 35.000 mostly, and for the price, it's well worth to try.
