Hello dear readers, this time I try to review one of the tourist attractions are quite unique and reportedly said to the third largest on the planet, one of which is in Vietnam. Rammang-Rammang attractions are in the mountains Group of Cretaceous or Salenrang Karst Maros Village, District Bontoa, Maros, South Sulawesi Province. To reach this place, just 90 minutes from downtown Makassar. Rammang Rammang Stone Forest Park only one in Indonesia and the largest / third largest in the world, after the first one is Tsingy in Madagascar and the second is Shilin in China. Practically there are two complex forest park stone in this area, which is located at the north and south, a guide, after passing the Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, straight toward Maros, after the iron bridge which passes through a river will be visible Billboard of Bosowa Cement Factory in right path, now just go there. The road was quite friendly, but do not bring race cars here. For those who have a GPS, enter the following coordinates: -4.932563, 119.597527
Rammang-Rammang means foggy or clouds in the language of Makassar. Why place so named, logical explanation for the early morning in the rainy season a cloud or fog always goes down , but unfortunatelyI reached this place at 9 am

Katinting alias Perahu Kecil. Katinting or small boat |
We're back to the location, here there are two crossings for Pute River, I tried the first one just because it was the closest of the main streets, knowing my first time here, too, and only armed with "GPS" from local residents. After parking the vehicle, we were greeted by a small dock that leans Katinting or small boat used to down the river to the village Berua. The fare for the boat ride is about 250.000 rupiah per boat for shuttle, it can fit about 5-6 adults. Announcement, if you forget to bring hats, you can borrow cap style hat Farmer for 3.000 rupiah
Perjalanan dimulai.....menyusur sungai yang kanan kiri dipenuhi hamparan tanaman Nipah dan batuan bukit memang sesuatu banget, sungainya yang relatif bersih walaupun berwarna keruh ya maklum musim kemarau.
The journey begins ..... along either side of the river that filled the expanse of Nipah plants and hill rocks . The river is relatively clean though uncleared due to the summer season.

Shape of the tree which is said to resemble the shape of a snail. |
Along the river, as well as walking in the streets, there are guidelines that must be followed. |
The Greatest reception of my friends who had reached it firstly in Kampung Berua. |
Finally we reached the Kampung Berua. There is a small dock again, here we can buy tickets for a donation of 10.000 rupiah per person. Are you hungry and thirsty? No need to worry, because in this village there are a few spots that sell drinking water and snack foods such as instant noodles or instant coffee, the price is not too expensive, in the sense of not multiplied. At this point, I snaped some great views, unfortunately some looks mossy ponds in summer season, maybe if there was a time in the rainy season I will try to going back this place.
These ponds are also commonly used to preserve fish or rice plants. |
Stunning scenery of this village with its traditionally home design. |

One of HIS grace with the formation of the beautiful Karst hills in this place.
