Hotel Santika Premiere, hotel bintang tiga yang terletak di jalan Gubeng. Kali ini kita memenuhi undangan untuk mencoba makanan dan minuman di loungenya yang baru.

Santika Premiere Hotel is an up & coming hotel in the city center, Gubeng Street, Surabaya.
We attended their invitation to sample the dishes in their new lounge.

Signature Chicken Salad - Rp 35.000

Masalah plating tempat ini termasuk menarik, tatanannya menarik dan diberi sentuhan-sentuhan kecil yang menarik. Masalah rasa, kita hanya sempat mencoba beberapa menu saat event, dan secara keseluruhan termasuk lumayan tapi tidak sampai istimewa.
Makanan kafe biasanya memang tidak terlalu spesial, terutama dibandingkan resto, harganya pun mengikuti kebanyakan kafe di Surabaya. Kalau butuh suasana lounge dengan menu standard kafe, tempat ini cocok untuk dikunjungi.

Their plating is quite nice, they assembled the dish vertically, which makes it very easy to take interesting photos. Taste-wise, from some of the menu we tried it's quite mediocre, albeit still ok.

Some people prefer good place instead of good food, for those kind of clientele, this place would be suitable, with its good ambiance and beautiful plating despite their run of the mill taste.

Dari dua menu yang sempat kita coba, tempat ini daya tarik utamanya ada di plating dan tempat yang cozy untuk hangout. Saat itu ada event perayaan kelulusan salah satu perguruan tinggi di tempat yang sama, jadi parkirnya sedikit susah, tapi kalau tidak sedang ada event kemungkinan besar bakal cukup mudah untuk parkir di sini.

From the menu we sampled, the taste is quite mediocre, so for me the best feature of this lounge is the cozy ambiance and pretty plating. There were a graduation ceremony event at the same time, so parking was a bit difficult, but I guess it'll be easy peasy when there's no particular event.

Pilihan minumannya cukup banyak dan rasanya menarik, mirip dengan standard kafe lainnya. Sayangnya pada saat food tasting kita tidak mengetahui harga menu minumannya, jadi tidak bisa memberi penilaian secara menyeluruh.

The beverage were quite on par with cafe standards, too bad we didn't know any of the price, so we reserve our opinion on them at the moment. Regardless, it's still quite enjoyable, and probably a tad better than their food counterpart.
