Warga Surabaya Timur awal tahun ini dimanja dengan bukanya tempat-tempat yang happening dan menarik untuk dikunjungi. Salah satunya ada kafe dan sport bar baru di Ruko Antonio, Pakuwon City/Laguna.

While last year most of the new and upcoming eateries are mostly situated in West part of Surabaya city, this year there's plenty of interesting cafe and restaurant open shop in East Surabaya. Here's one of them, Scudetto, which is located in Ruko Antonio home-office area, Pakuwon City / Laguna.

Walaupun disebut kafe, saya perhatikan di sini tidak ada mesin espresso, jadi minuman kopinya mungkin masih kalah dibanding dengan daya tarik utamanya sebagai sport bar, bir, dan banyak sekali pilihan bir di sini.

This place called itself as cafe, but I don't notice any espresso machine. Hence it's best to try the sport bar part first if you're here, the beer selections is humongous and it's their main feature.

Rukonya terdiri dari dua lantai, dan sedikit area outdoor di depan barnya. Pada kedua lantainya disediakan LCD dan Proyektor untuk menikmati acara pertandingan olah raga yang sesuai dengan hobi pengunjung. 

The eateries is in a home-office area, with two floors dining area. There's a small space in front for outdoor dining area, suitable for smokers.
Both indoor area have a LCD and projector, which usually screened a sport competition or movie.

Food

Menu yang paling enak buat kita adalah Tom Yam supnya ini, rasanya pas, walaupun penampilannya sederhana.
Rasa masakan yang lain termasuk standard, jadi tidak terlalu beda dengan kualitas yang biasa ditemui di hotel bintang 3 atau resto sejenis. Berhubung menunya baru pesan 3 ini, masih belum ketemu masakan yang memiliki ciri khas atau bikin ngangeni untuk kembali. 
Ownernya sempat menganjurkan mencoba Nasi Goreng Buntut, tapi sayangnya saat itu sedang kehabisan stok.

They serve some run of the mill dishes, with the Tom Yam soup being our favorite among the bunch.
The food quality is somewhat similar to those in a 3 star business hotel and other eateries that try to cater to all palates.
The owner suggested for us to try their Fried Rice with Ox-Tail dishes, but that particular night it was already sold out.

Spaghettinya hadir dengan banyak keju dan saus cream, didampingi ham smoked beef yang menggoda. Di sini tidak memakai daging babi, jadi walaupun tidak halal (ada alkohol) tapi minimal pork free.

Rasa spaghettinya untuk selera kita sedikit kurang bumbu, tapi tidak terlalu masalah, karena bisa disesuaikan dengan minta garam dan merica.

Spaghetti here comes with plenty of cheese and cream sauce, accompanied with smoked beef ham. They don't serve pork here, so if you have a dining companion on kosher diet, it should help ease their mind, though keep in mind that alcohol are aplenty here.

This dish tasted a bit bland, but using a simple salt and pepper shaker should make it more palatable.

Beverages

Virgin Lychee-Tini - Rp 25.000

Kita mencoba dua minuman mocktailnya. Salah satunya sebetulnya lebih tepat disebut cocktail karena menggunakan campuran bir yang mengandung alkohol.

Yang benar-benar bebas alkohol adalah Virgin Lychee-tini nya sedangkan Monaco ada campuran birnya. Untuk selera kita, lebih suka dengan Monaconya jauh, karena yang Lychee Tini sedikit terlalu manis dan tidak terlalu ada sensasi rasa yang unik atau istimewa.

Minuman Monaco ini adalah salah satu alasan utama kami ingin kembali ke sini, di samping bir Hoegarden yang dijual dengan harga amat bersaing, Rp 50.000 saja. Dahulu pernah melihat harga bir sama di Sutos, dijajakan dengan harga Rp 80.000 - 90.000

We tried two of their mocktails. While one is genuinely a mocktail, the other would be more suitable being called a cocktail since it contains alchohol.

The non alcoholic mocktail is called Virgin Lychee-Tini, while the one which contain beer is Monaco. We liked the Monaco much better then the Lychee-Tini, which is a tad too sweet and there's nothing interesting for our taste buds.

The Monaco cocktail is one of our favorite here, and will be the reason for us frequenting this place. One other reason is to try their Hoegarden beer, which is quite a steal at Rp 50.000. I've recalled the price in other eateries around Surabaya Town Square were about Rp 80.000 - Rp 90.000 for the same beer.

Sama seperti makanannya, untuk dessert tidak ada yang istimewa, walau rasanya juga tetap sesuai standard. Untuk harga yang ditawarkan, cukup masuk akal walaupun rasa dan tampilannya cukup sederhana untuk ukuran tempat makan baru.

Kompleks Ruko San Antonio sendiri dipenuhi dengan tempat makan yang menarik, tapi tidak semuanya buka hingga dini hari. Untuk yang kebingungan mencari tempat hangout yang nyaman setelah lewat pk 22.00, bakal cocok hangout di Scudetto dan tetangga-tetangganya (Mazeltov, De Kitchen dll).

Just like the food, the only dessert we tried here were nothing too fancy, but it's not bad either. 

For the price point I can't complain much. 

What we're still curious about is the snacks, since this kind of place would be suitable for hanging out after a dinner, snack would be a popular menu here. We didn't get to try one though, since most of them were sold out that evening.

The home office area itself are well packed during night time, so this would be an ideal destination for a nightlife entertainment.
