Kali ini saya membahas
tentang makanan kaki lima yang populer di Surabaya yang berasal dari Makassar,
Mie UP.
Mie Ujung Pandang satu ini menurut kabarnya masih berhubungan
dengan Mie
UP Arif Rahman Hakim yang tendanya berwarna pink.
This is a post about
a street food quite popular in Surabaya, which originated from Makassar, a city
in Sulawesi. It's a noodle dish with pork and chicken meat, along with simple
wonton soup and lettuce, called Mie Ujung Pandang (Ujung Pandang is Makassar
city's earlier name).

Tempatnya relatif
sederhana, kalau musim hujan seperti sekarang sedikit lebih nyaman di RMI
karena tidak becek.
Untuk ukuran makanan kaki lima, harga mie Ujung Pandang di sini sedikit di atas rata-rata. Tidak terlalu murah memang karena di kisaran harga sama bisa dapat kwetiau atau mie goreng ala depot, atau resto yang banyak diskonan.

The eatery is some
sort of outdoor foodcourt, it's still a bit more comfy when compared to the
other street food stall, since they have a pavement so you wouldn't have to
deal with wet floor on rainy season.
It's not cheap by
street food standards, but they are already quite well known, hence the premium
pricing.

Di tempat yang sama
ada juga lapak seafood Celebes, ada beberapa teman yang menyukai hidangan di
sini, tapi saya sendiri belum pernah mencoba, jadi tidak tahu pasti enak /
tidaknya.
In the same place
there's plenty of other food stalls. One of them is a friend's favorite seafood
stall, Celebes. I've never tried them myself so can't comment much on how it
really is.

Kelihatannya sih tidak
bersih-bersih amat tempatnya, tapi untungnya selama beberapa kali pernah ke
sini belum pernah bermasalah perut.
It might look tad
unhygienic, but I never had stomach problem when eating here. But it's a visit
on your own risk :D
