Teh Tarik Time - New Bridge Road [Singapore]
24 Hour Indian & Melayu Dish in Clarke Quay
Teh Tarik Time Singapore |
mallnya).
Namanya Teh Tarik Time, kesan pertama saya kira tempat ini seperti
If you've been using
MRT to go to Song
Fa Ba Kut Teh - Clarke Quay, which is a well known Pork Ribs Soup eatery,
you'd be passing this restaurant while en route from Central Mall where the MRT
station is located.
It's called Teh Tarik Time, from the famous Malay drink of Milk Tea. At first I thought this place would sell something like a kopitiam dish, turns out they cater Indian food instead.

Indian and Melayu
dishes are sold here, but I'm much more inclined to try their Indian food,
since the proprietors are of Indian descends, and most of the dish on display
are Indian food. I guess the Melayu dish part is for those picky eaters who
dislike Indian food but would go for Malay dishes.

Rasa masakannya
terlalu suka makanan berbumbu kuat.
Taste-wise it's an
enjoyable meal here. It lack the strong spicy flavor I usually encounter in
other Indian Restaurant, but I guess that's the way some Singaporean food
vendor want to present their dish, to cater to wider audience, especially
westerners taste-buds that usually don't enjoy food with bold spicy taste.

Walau tempatnya berupa
Despite having their
own place, the price they charge doesn't differ much with hawker centers, the
expensive ones in downtown areas, which usually costs S$5-8 for the same kind of
Briyani dish.
