Setelah lama tidak mengulas Resto Vegan, kali ini saya berkesempatan menulis tentang Oman Vegan Resto.

Salah satu pemilik tempat makan ini adalah kawan baik saya, jadi mohon maklum walaupun tulisan di blog ini selalu diusahakan obyektif, faktor 'sohib' bakalan sedikit banyak berpengaruh :)

It's been a very long time since I last posted about Vegan cuisine, and this time I'm fortunate enough to have the chance to savor one, in Oman Vegan Resto.

First, a disclaimer.. the owner of this establishment is a friend of mine. I always try my best to be unbiased while writing for this blog, but that being said, do take this post with a big grain of salt :)

Oman Vegan Resto Surabaya

Harga makanan di Oman Vegan resto menurut saya termasuk terjangkau. Kalau dibandingkan resto serupa di kelasnya harganya sedikit lebih murah, tapi dengan tempat yang lebih menarik. Bisa dilihat di bagian bawah untuk daftar menu dan harga-harganya.

The cost of food here is very affordable considering the ambiance of the restaurant and food presentation.

A similar restaurant costs around 20-30% more, despite being less posh and the lack of fancy plating.

Oman Vegan Resto Surabaya - Sup Tom Yam Kung (Rp 22.000)

Mengenai rasa, kita cukup cocok dengan kualitas masakannya. Memang ada beberapa tempat kekunoan yang rasanya mungkin lebih nendang, tapi tempatnya sih depot biasanya.

Taste-wise it's quite to our liking. Of course you can find other eatery with better taste, but they usually are in a lackluster diner, and the food quality isn't far away in my oppinion.

Oman Vegan Resto - Crispy Mushroom (Rp 12.500)

Tempat ini cukup ok untuk business meeting karena lokasinya yang dekat dengan tengah kota. Kalau bosan dengan cafe dan kopitiam di sekitaran Endemohen, bisa cobain ke sini untuk alternatif ngafe cantik sambil diskusi pekerjaan.

Harga cemilan yang ditawarkan di sini amat terjangkau, tidak beda dengan kios makanan ringan di mall-mall

This place is very suitable for business meetings, since the location is near the financial districts and there's plenty of trading going on around the area. There's a popular kopitiam in the Endemohen street just 5 minutes away, and this place would be a great alternative when you're bored with their offerings.

Oman Vegan Resto - Vegetable Tempur (Rp 15.000)

Nasi Campur Oman - Rp 28.000

Nasi Goreng Oman - Rp 31.500

Rasa masakan yang ditawarkan cukup ok, kita saat ke sini pesan Tom Yam Kung, Ayam Lemon dan Jamur Crispy. Untuk makanan individual seperti Nasi Goreng dan Tami tidak mencoba, tapi kelihatannya cukup enak. Kalau datang lagi mungkin lebih memilih menu individualnya.

Rasa 'ayam' di sini ada kemiripan dengan resto franchise vegan terkenal di Biliton, yang sedikit berbeda dengan selera saya yang lebih suka olahan tradisional seperti Bebek Vegetarian DH / Empal Vegetariannya Depot Harmoni.

Taste-wise the food is quite nice. We tried the Tom Yam Kung soup and Lemon Chicken, along with Crispy Mushroom for snacks. We didn't get to try the individual dishes such as Fried Rice and Noodle, which seems delicious.

On our next visit, would like to try those fried rice or mixed rice. The Chicken Lemon reminds me of a vegan restaurant franchise around Biliton Street. Which dish are quite modern, which for me isn't as appetizing as their traditional counterparts such as DH Vegetarian Duck or the Beef Empal at Depot Harmoni (you can search for both eatery which has been featured in this blog)

Tampilan dessertnya menarik, rasanya juga ok. Kalau ada teman makan yang tidak terlalu gemar masakan vegan, bisa dianjurkan pesan dessertnya saja. Harganya terjangkau, penampilannya menarik dan cocok untuk selera kita.

Unlike other Vegan restaurants, this place offer desserts. That's quite a rarity for this kind of eatery.

For those whose palate isn't suited for vegan dishes, this would be a good menu to try.
