Soto Tapak Siring adalah salah satu Soto Madura yang lumayan terkenal di Surabaya. Banyak yang suka dengan olahan masakan di sini. Untuk ukuran tempat makan tak ber AC, harga yang dipatok termasuk lumayan tinggi, tapi untuk kebanyakan pelanggannya harga ini sesuai dengan kualitas rasa.

This eatery is popular for one dish, Maduranese Beef Soto. Soto is a spicy beef soup, with a very thick and rich broth. This place isn't air conditioned, and having an ambiance of street food vendor, but it's price is similar to a regular restaurant. It's a bit steep in price for it's class, despite that, it have a strong following of fans.

Semangkok Soto ini dihargai Rp 28.000 per porsi. Kita memesan dua variasi, yang pertama soto dengan daging sapi saja, sedangkan yang satunya memakai telor dan jerohan. Harganya sama 28k.

Untuk minuman yang kita pesan ini, harganya sama Rp 9.000 untuk Es Campur dan Es Jeruk Manis.
Sedangkan nasinya dihargai Rp 3.000 per bungkus, biasanya 2 bungkus nasi setara dengan sepiring nasi di resto lain.

A bowl of  Soto costs Rp 28.000 each. We ordered two kinds of Soto, one with innards and boiled egg while the other is only using beef without the innards, it's priced the same.

For the beverage, we ordered an Es Campur and Orang Juice which costs the same Rp 9.000.

Rice here are sold for Rp 3.000, they put the rice in an interesting leaf wrapping. 2 of this are similar to a portion of rice elsewhere.

Tipe sotonya tidak terlalu banyak memakai bumbu, rasa dagingnya lebih wangi atau kuat dibanding rasa bumbu. Untuk penggemar rasa daging, ini menjadi daya tarik utama. Rasa kuahnya kental, legit dan gurih, cocok ditambah sambal dan perasan jeruk nipis untuk mengurangi kesan berminyak.

Kalau untuk lidah saya yang mungkin selera india  lebih demen dengan tipe soto daging yang banyak bumbu

The Soto served here doesn't taste too much of spice, instead it have a rich gamey broth, which would be heaven for meat lovers. It's thick rich broth would be supplemented well with a few squeeze of lemon and hot chili sauce.

I have a strong preference for spicy food, maybe similar to what an Indian guy would like in a dish, so for me, another type of soto with strong spicy broth is more to my liking.

Es Campurnya termasuk biasa, kalau saya sendiri tidak terlalu cocok dengan olahan minuman di sini, lebih baik memilih minuman standard seperti es teh atau air mineral kalau lain kali ke sini

I found the beverage less to my liking. In the future, I'll probably stick to something regular like an ice tea or bottled water.
