Onokabe Surabaya - Kambing Guling

Beda dengan kebanyakan tempat makan sepuasnya konvensional, di sini cukup unik dan lengkap.
Biasanya kalau mau AYCE kita harus memilih tempat sesuai selera, mau yang buffet ala Hotel, atau lebih cocok yang masak sendiri, ala resto AYCE Korea dan Jepang.
Di sini, keduanya disediakan, tapi... kita harus memilih dulu mau yang mana.
Kalau sudah prasmanan tidak bisa ambil yang Grill / Suki, dan sebaliknya.

All You Can Eat in Surabaya, usually comes to a choice between two kind of place.
Either you get a Hotel style buffet, or a grill / suki restaurant with Japanese or Korean root.
In Onokabe, you get both choice, but you have to choose which one you'd like.
Choosing Grill / Suki means you skip the cooked food buffet and vice versa



Yang penasaran suasana tempat dan menunya bisa dilihat di video di atas, opsi makanan yang tersedia dari grill suki hingga pilihan dessert yang ada sudah terekam lengkap.

The selections are pretty vast, so I took the video above which makes it easier for me to present how the place feel and what kind of food served.




Onokabe - Grill / Yakiniku
  Saat itu kita mencoba makanan Suki / Grillnya, dan rasanya cukup enak
Walau masih lebih suka dengan citarasa Grill di Kintan atau Gyu Kaku (1 perusahaan dengan Onokabe - Boga Group), tapi rasa makanan di sini juga cukup ngangeni, karena banyaknya bumbu yang disediakan membuat citarasanya jauh berbeda dengan dua lokasi di atas.

We tried the Suki / Grill dish this time around.
Whilst it still not as good as Kintan or Gyu Kaku (which is under the sampe company as Onokabe - Boga Group), it still have a unique tasting dish that will compel you to comeback here.
Basically it's a tad sweeter compared to the two above

Kalau suka dengan rasa kuah yang kental, bisa ditambahkan telur di dalamnya.
Ada yang suka mengaduk saat telur dimasukkan, supaya mirip dengan sup asparagus tekstur telurnya, atau dibiarkan utuh

If you like to enhance the soup, beside the usual condiment you can crack a raw egg on the soup.
For a egg drop soup style, stir the raw egg as it hits the soup
Leaving it whole is my favorite way of cooking this egg though

 Kambing Guling ini bagian dari menu prasmanan, untuk yang doyan dengan Kambing Guling bisa coba menu prasmanan dibandingkan suki / grill

This Grilled Goat is part of the buffet menu. If you're curious how this dish taste, you'd want to order the buffet menu instead of the grill / suki.

 Pilihan sausnya sangat banyak, jadi perlu coba-coba dulu kalau pertama kali ke sini. (bisa dilihat di video youtube di atas post)
Mayoritas sausnya digunakan untuk cocolan setelah hidangan matang, tapi bisa juga dicampurkan di bahan mentah seperti marinade.


There's so many choice of sauces, so it's best to try them all or mix and match what works.

Most of the sauce provided are for dipping after the dishes were cooked, but you can also use some of them for marinating the raw meat first.

Kalau tidak terlalu suka rasa manis, saus Yakinikunya cukup nendang gulanya
Kita kemarin sempat salah karena terlalu banyak pakai saus Yakiniku untuk marinating, hasilnya sangat manis dan hampir tidak habis.
Solusinya kita celupkan ke kuah Tom Yam daging panggangnya untuk mengurangi rasa manis
Kalau kembali ke sini lagi, bakalan skip saus Yakinikunya dan hanya pakai bawang putih untuk bumbui daging mentahnya


If you don't particularly like sweet tasting BBQ, don't use too much of the Yakiniku sauce
We made a mistake by using too many Yakiniku sauce for marinating, which resulting in a very sweet tasting meat, caramel glazed meat is certainly not suiting our tastebuds.
Suppose you're stuck on a similar situation, just dip the over sweetened meat to the Suki broth to lessen the sweet taste.
If all else fails, dip it in hot Coffee
